The active ingredient in Voltaren is diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking your body’s production of a chemical messenger called prostaglandin E2, which is responsible for pain and inflammation. Diclofenac can be used to relieve muscle pain, rheumatic and muscular pain, backache, osteoarthritis, and other pain conditions that accompany back pain or that is caused by inflammation or tenderness in the muscles.
Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets contain diclofenac potassium 25 mg, which belongs to a class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medications work by relieving pain and reducing inflammation (swelling and pain) caused by various conditions, including back pain, osteoarthritis, and other pain conditions.
Directions for Use
Take this medication by mouth at least 30 minutes, preferably 1 hour before activities such as walking, swimming, or hobbies. The amount can be adjusted as needed based on your pain, your health condition, and how your body reacts. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets. If your pain does not improve or worsen, talk to your doctor. This medication is to be taken with food. Do not take a multivitamin or take this medication with calcium or iron supplements. If you are using medicines called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), your doctor may need to adjust the dose or special makeup of your pills.

Warnings
Always take this medication with a large glass of water. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Do not use on broken or scored tablets. Store at room temperature away from heat and moisture. Do not use the tablets in larger quantities or for longer than recommended.
Do not give this medication to children under 16 years of age. Do not use if allergic to diclofenac potassium, aspirin, aspirin/dispersing agents (e.g., aspirin/palatable liquid, aspirin/gel, or diclofenac sodium), or to any other ingredient in Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets. Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets may cause stomach bleeding. Do not use if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients in the Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets or to any other diclofenac product. In the event of a stomach bleeding, take stand for 24 hours after receiving any aspirin or aspirin/dispersing agent. Unless directed by a doctor, do not use this medication with ibuprofen or naproxen. Also in the event of an allergic reaction, with an end-of-treatment skin rash, call your doctor. If the rash worsens, stop using this medication and get medical help right away. Ask a doctor before use if you have a history of stomach bleeding or bruising. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Missed Dose
Take this medication as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the scheduled time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Store below 30°C.
